Edith is a globally minded Lyonnaise. Many think that Lyon is cold and remote. I say they have not meet Edith, or others like her. She is very French in her passion for aesthetic perfection in words. I love this about her.

Her name is very English, From the Anglo-Saxon eád-gyth, with 'eád' meaning 'good, prosperity, fortune, inheritance' and 'gyth' meaning 'battle' or 'strife'. Another possible meaning is 'warrior for the good'. Eadgyth was the name of the daughter of King Edgar (see Edgar). She is considered by some to be a saint.
She is our official translator and editor, a saint of words, merci!
Hi there - salut - happy new year!,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Chris Milne, I'm 26 years old and from Scotland.
I am planning on moving to live in France (Lyon), and am looking to make some friends/contacts over there who might be able to help me find a job/place to stay. If you know of anywhere I could work, or know someone who might be able to help me, please do get in touch.
OK, here's a litle info about me:
I am 26 years old
I have a masters degree in Architecture
I am a second degree black belt in Taekwondo
My french is ok - I can get by, but I am by no means fluent...
I'd be happy to work anywhere and do any job
I am able to move at 7 days notice
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks - cheers - and happy new year!
Chris
